the exit planning summit

RFN Global is a Summit partner in 2022. Plus two of our Advisory Group team members will be presenting at the event.

Sean Hutchinson is presenting “Next Level Discovery: learn more with fewer questions” on May 2.

Discovery is the bedrock of your relationship and engagement. This session will help you create space, hold space and give space to your client to discover the story behind the numbers. A discovery focused on mutual exploration allows you and your client to uncover information and details that may surprise you both and lead to deeper connection and understanding.

Learn how we use appreciative inquiry to ask better questions and get better insights to provide the best advice and solutions for each client. This session will help you elevate your discovery process to make it more enjoyable for you and your client while also collecting meaningful, helpful information to better inform your ongoing relationship.

Joe Slatter is presenting “Next Level Listening: suspending the advisor in you” at a Power Session on May 3.

Have you ever noticed that little voice in your head doing analysis, solving problems and preparing your sage advice while your client is talking? Maybe it’s a colleague or spouse who’s sharing a point of view and you’re waiting for a break in the action to share your bit of wisdom that will make it all better.

We all probably do it to some extent; and that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. If we want to get more information in less time, we might consider setting our judgments aside and fully engaging curiosity for a little bit. Take a lesson from Kaldi, the goatherd who discovered coffee.
